MFC Overview
Military Families Connect (MFC), a project through the Family Resource Center of Sheboygan County, provides an information and referral service supporting and serving our Armed Forces, their families and the communities in which they live. Meetings are held monthly.
MFC began in 2003 for military families in Sheboygan County. These families are islands in a civilian community and do not have the benefit of living with their peers on a military installation. By joining these families together in our community, the opportunity exists for them to network and connect. They possess a wealth of information and are support for each other. Families can share issues and concerns, identify needs and build a network of support. We welcome servicemembers, spouses, children, parents, grandparents, siblings, family members and friends of those serving in our military in various stages of deployment.
Both Family Resource Center sites have libraries available to the community. These libraries house resource materials, books, videos and DVD’s on many parenting topics, in addition to military-related issues.
Monthly meetings are held the 4th Monday of every month 5:30pm-7:30pm at 1500 Douglas Drive, Plymouth, WI 53073. A typical meeting includes the following: a pot luck meal, exchange of information, activities or guest speakers. Children are welcome and activities are provided. Registration is appreciated for meeting planning. Cost: Free
Activities include: Package mailings to our deployed troops, Scrapbooking night, Ice Cream Social, Managing the Deployment Cycle, Card making for veterans in local and state nursing homes and for our deployed troops, annual picnic in the park, Deployment, Reunion and Beyond, Military Kids Night and Christmas dinner.

MFC Purpose:
Military families Connect (MFC) is a network of families joined by a common thread of the military. It is a diverse group of spouses, children, parents, siblings and other family members whose servicemembers are from all branches of the Armed Forces including active and reserve components from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard.
These families are islands in a civilian community and MFC provides an opportunity for families to form an alliance in a supportive environment regardless of the branch of their family member serves.
